Would you like to fly?

As part of its institutional activities involving the promotion of aviation culture, and also to provide partial economic coverage for the gliding competitions organised on the Torino-Aeritalia airfield, particularly the annual "City of Turin Trpphy", the Aero Club, together with one of our members, Vittorio Vallesio, has sponsored the publishing of a book called "Volo delle Nuvole" (Flight of the Clouds), dedicated to the marvels of the atmosphere. Copies are available from the secretary at a cost of €60.00.

As a token of gratitude for the acquisition, the AeC offers a flight for one person (without payment) in a glider.

Air navigation rules

Article 414 - Liability of the carrier for transport on a friendly basis. Anyone who undertakes the carriage of passengers or goods on a friendly basis is liable in law only when the damaged party proves that the damage was caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence by the carrier, or his dependents, or his agents.

Article 941 - Applicable Rules. The air transport of passengers and/or baggage, including the Carrier's liability for personal injury to passengers is governed by those international and EEC regulations in force in the Republic of Italy.

The discipline of this Section shall also apply to carriage performed by a carrier without an operator's licence.

Insurance for flights on a friendly basis

Thje AeC has insured each of its aircraft for 3rd Party risks up to a maximum of €5,000,000.00

Suspension of flights on a friendly basis in powered aircraft

In relazione alla circolare ENAC 12.01.2010, l'Aero Club Torino ha invece deciso di sospendere a tempo indeterminato i voli a titolo amichevole su aerei a motore.
